 TclPro 1.3b4 Release and Contest Announcement
 5th August, 1999

 We are pleased to announce the 1.3b4 release of TclPro. This beta is
 effectively
 a final release candidate. If no showstopper bugs are found in the meantime,
 we intend to go final in a couple of weeks. The contest announced before
 and described below continues. We'd particularly like feedback from people
 using HP-UX 11.x as we have not previously supported that particular
 version.

 As you may know, TclPro includes four separate development tools.
 1. TclPro Debugger: an interactive debugger for Tcl;
 2. TclPro Checker: "lint" for Tcl, checks your code for common usage errors;
 3. TclPro Compiler: provides code obfuscation to hide your source code;
 4. TclPro Wrapper: build a single executable containing all your scripts.

 TclPro 1.3b4 includes Tcl 8.2b2 and the latest versions of [incr Tcl],
 Expect,
 and TclX. It is able to debug scripts written using older versions of Tcl.

 Contest
 -----------

 We'd like to enlist your help in testing this beta release so we're also
 announcing a contest. Anyone finding a bug in TclPro 1.3b4 that is not
 already
 in our bug database will get a cool TclPro t-shirt. The best bug-finder,
 determined by severity and quantity of bugs found, will get a free TclPro
 user license ($1200 value).
