Subject: CriticalSections in the new Tcl8.1b3 Threading stuff? - DN [1]

 I just started porting my Win32 threading classes to use the new Tcl
 threading primatives and just noticed something.  pthreads doesn't
 offer a criticalsection to hold the kenel from yielding until the
 criticalsection is released.

 Are there any techniques to emulate a criticalsection with pthreads?

 If so, can it be added to the Tcl threading primatives?
