I just wanted to note that I found this to be a very readable book,
full of clear examples and good overviews of language syntax. At
just under 700 pages, it covers a broad range of Tcl topics. A little
light on the C side, it still does cover dealing with 8.0 Tcl_Obj's.
It takes note of unicode, although it ends with Tcl8.1a1 and 8.0.3.

For those who had questions before, the beginning of the book has a
very good intro chapter on "Why Tcl/Tk?" that is the best I have seen
in a Tcl book to date. This book is also a little more open with
talking about questions usually seen in FAQs. It also has an end
chapter covering (lightly) well-known extensions (BLT, Expect, ...).
