 Well, we (Red Hat) are using Tcl/Tk for our Source-Navigator IDE.
 I would agree with your boss if not for Itcl and Itk. Tcl by itself
 does not scale well but the OO features added by Itcl make it just
 as good as C++ (well better actually). Source-Navigator will be open
 sourced soon, and we are really pushing to make it the default IDE
 for Linux. Is that big enough for you?
