Subject: What the heck is Ajuba? - DN [1]
rhempel@my-deja.com - 22 May 2000 - comp.lang.tcl
Hmmm, I just bonked on the Scriptics site we all know and love and found out the company is now called Ajuba. In the days of brand recognition, I hope to heck that somebody was thinking straight when they decided on this name :-) All humour aside, I was disconcerted to read the press release at <http://www.scriptics.com/company/news/press_release_ajuba.html> And found NOT ONE mention of Tcl in the statement. The focus seems to be on XML development for business solutions. This is going to be a good thing, especially since this company: <http://www.scripting.com> seems to be leading the way with promoting SOAP and XML for the rest of us in the form of browser enabled editing and other goodies. Please tell us that Tcl development will continue, especially supporting the Mac to get it's serial capabilities in line with the Win/Linux patforms....
