 Not only was it an April fool's joke, but it wasn't mine!  It was
 forged by an insider.  I know by who, but won't tell, because it was
 so good.  It shows that I can trust to delegate way more to the Python
 community than I think I can! :-)

 BTW, the biggest give-away that it wasn't mine was the absence of my
 standard sign-off line:
