Yes, Software AG did a port of Tcl/Tk to OS/390 OE. It is only a version before UTF8-Support, exactly 8.0.3. But with Plus-Patch and Expect. The installation tool of our products on Unix platforms is implemented in Tcl/Tk, and since most of our products work on OS/390, too, we needed the port of Tcl/Tk. Most of the changes, we did to the source, went into the core meanwhile. So newer versions should work better, but some of the improvements went into 8.1 and we didn't manage to port this yet, since due to the introduction of UTF8 there is needed a different porting strategy. A news posting with all the patches for Tcl8.0.3 on OS/390OE is found here: http://x32.deja.com/[ST_rn=ps]/getdoc.xp?AN=444640706.1&CONTEXT=948878773.644808739&hitnum=3 The patched files can be downloaded from our ftp server here: ftp://www.adabas.com/special/tcl-port-os390/ If you still have some problems (or ideas how to port newer versions), don't hesitate to mail me.
