Subject: CFP: Tcl/Tk Track at O'Reilly Open Source Software Convention - DN [1]

"Gerald W. Lester" <gwlester@home.com> - 05 Jan 2000 - comp.lang.tcl.announce

 Hello,

I'm chairing the Tcl/Tk track at the O'Reilly Open Source Software
Convention which will be held July 17-20, 2000 in Monterey, California
 (see http://conferences.oreilly.com/oscon2000/call.html) and am looking
for a few good speakers. Tcl/Tk has been allocated slots for four (4)
half day tutorials and nine (9) hours of talks (talks can be 30, 45 or
 90 minutes long).

I'm looking for new (or recycled papers from one of the Tcl/Tk
 conferences) in the following areas:
    1. XML: extensions and applications
    2. Extending Tcl: Overview of extensions and packages
    3. Database extensions and applications
    4. I18N and Tcl
    5. Real world applications and Tcl
    6. Neat Tk applications (particularly small ones)
Of course if you have any other ideas for a Tcl/Tk talk or any idea for
a tutorial (that you want to do), send it in and I'll see if we can fit
it in. Feel free to e-mail me directly or post things to comp.lang.tcl
if you think it need to be discussed by the community in general.

I'll post more information about the tutorials and sessions that will
actually be presented as soon as they are finalized.
