view set index ?prop value ...?

This is similar to the command ['mk::set cursor] except that it operates on row index of view rather than the row indicated by cursor''. Thus it can operate on rows that cannot be indicated by a cursor.

One important difference: [view set] can only set property values in an existing row. It does not have the magic side-effect of [mk::set] to extend a view by empty rows as needed.
