Btw, I suddenly remembered that i didn't tell you about one more usage of 
MetaKit library - 

Akregator KDE RSS Aggregator[1] now uses metakit as its backend storage 
database. This allowed us to speed up processing significantly and especially 
reduce startup times[2].
