[Metakit] Changing layout of blocked views

Can one make any changes (adding or removing fields) from a blocked 
view?  The statement

"Unlike hashed views, blocked views have to be designed and set up as 
such
   from the outset (this is a limitation of the current MK core). "

in the docs indicates that one can't convert a non-blocked view to a 
blocked one, but it is not clear to me whether one can change a blocked 
views structure.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thanks.
