Catfish 1.9 XP SP3 I have used Catfish for years it WAS the best catalog prog, but lately it just crashes when opening. Happens on every machine I have it on - at home and at work
When I run this, I started getting "Catfish caused a General protection fault in module CATFISH.EXE at 0002:32CC".
This happens even before the prog finishes loading.
After downloading Catfish (again) from Equi4 & running winrar and Catfish.exe, it says C:\Docume~1\etc\etc\Catfish.exe (or one of its components). Check to ensure the path and filename are correct etc etc." This is driving me nuts. Must be from an XP update. I have spent days looking for a cataloger that performs as well / easily as Catfish used to, without success. I REALLY miss this proggie. Somebody mentioned in another post to use the fix from Todd Brennam, but I can't find a link for it. Hellllp! Anybody else in the same boat?

Is there no 32 bit version of catfish? or in any case one which can show all matches together (like the search function in windows xp)??? And it would be nice if you could export this search result as a txt file. And you cannot search more than 16 letters (again because of being 16 bit, I guess), and you cannot search boolean (I mean, just as in google "A and B but not C" or "A or B") If catfish can be updated to do these things, I'd be happy, otherwise I'd like to move my 2000+ *.cf4 files to some other application (without having to catalogue all 2000 CDs/DVDs again)

(along with never working on x86_64) should put the death knell to 16bit apps. Please oh please release these products in 32 and/or 64 bit versions for windows.
Thanks.

catfish was always working fine for me, but now (since Jan. 28th) I get the message "Windows cannot access the specified file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item"
I am running as admin on XP Service Pack 2
