I've been using sdx.kit and tclkit 8.5a2 for some time with no difficulties under Windown XP.
I'm trying to upgrade to tclkit 8.5b1 and the newest version of sdx.kit, but I'm not being successful. When I use the same approach that has been working for some time, I get the following:
C:\tcl\exe-tcl8.5b1>tclkitsh makex.tcl attempt to provide package vfs 1.2 failed: package vfs 1.3 provided instead
while executing
"sdx::sdx wrap x.kit"
(file "makex.tcl" line 4)
The contents of makex.tcl are as follows: source ./sdx.kit package require sdx sdx::sdx wrap x.kit exit
It's likely that I'm doing something very wrong, but I'm inexperienced. Thanks in advance for any suggestions about how to solve my problem.

I am interested in a solution as well. I receive the same error ("attempt to provide package vfs 1.2 failed: package vfs 1.3 provided instead") with tclkit-darwin-univ-aqua 8.5.0 when calling [sdx::sdx fetch] from within a Starkit containing the sdx packages. Running "sdx.kit fetch" from the command line with the same Tclkit yields a similar error ("attempt to provide package FTP 1.2 failed: package FTP 1097 provided instead") rather than printing a usage prompt. Both cases work fine with tclkit-darwin-univ-aqua 8.4.17.
